THE FULLNEST OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – Part 1 05 February 2017

The emphasis on the fullness of the Holy Spirit involves the two fold work of the Holy Spirit. We see these in the life of Jesus and how it follows on unto every believer. Your worth is hidden in the two fold work and measure of the Holy Spirit in your life.
Let’s look briefly at the life of Jesus so I can lay the foundation for this message as there is no other foundation which has been laid but that of Jesus. In Luke 1:31-35 we see how Jesus was incarnated by the conception of the Holy Spirit and was born as the son of God which is the first fold of the Holy Spirit work in Jesus. And we understand that the boy Jesus grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him (Luke 2:40). Note the word growth, as it says the child (spiritual child grew and became strong in spirit).
Then we see in Luke 3:21-22 when the second fold of the work of the Holy Spirit began, and also in Luke 4:14-19.
The work of the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus is the same that God set up for all His children to be born after Jesus
The first fold of the Holy Spirit’s work or ministry in your life is the rebirth and renewal, and the second fold is the baptism and anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Rebirth and renewal; John 3:5-8, Titus 3:5-7(Amp)
Rebirth - What happens here is an incarnation or rebirth which is done by the Holy Spirit in a way that cannot be comprehended by the human mind and it is received only by faith according to John 1:12-13.
Born again means that which is born of the Spirit hence it is now spirit. We have become spirit but before that we were just flesh. Being spirit means to be alive by having the life of God and hence to operate in the realm of God. We know that God is Spirit and those who He gives birth to will automatically be spirit as well, John 4:24.
Until each one of us takes serious cognisance of this truth, we will live our lives as just flesh (carnal). It is time to accept and know who we are by setting our hearts and minds to live as spirit. If you are born again, you are spirit (you have the life of God and must live like God because God is Spirit). Note that Jesus makes it clear that one born of the spirit is like the wind and cannot be hindered or bound, such a person has liberty.
